ASP Application Servers
ASP application servers for Windows NT, 2000, 98, and 95 are available free of charge from Microsoft. You can also run ASP pages on UNIX servers using ChiliASP. ChiliASP can be purchased from ChiliSoft.
Typical configurations for Windows users
If you're running Windows 95 or 98, you can install Microsoft's Personal Web Server to enable ASP. You can download Personal Web Server from Microsoft's Web site.
If you're running Windows NT, you can install NT Option Pack 4 to enable ASP. You can download the NT Option Pack from Microsoft's Web site.
If you're running Windows 2000, you can install Microsoft's Internet Information Server (IIS) 5, which includes support for ASP, from the Windows Component Wizard accessible from the Add/Remove Programs option.
Typical configurations for Macintosh users
Currently there are no ASP-capable servers that run on the Macintosh. To deploy your ASP site, you need network or FTP access to a Windows machine with one of the above configurations, or to a UNIX machine running ChiliASP.
