Planning the content of the pages
Before you start laying out your pages, you sit down to plan their content.
The Web application for Arrow Aircraft will consist of two modules. The first module will allow owners to request their aircraft, and the second module will let Flight Ops manage the requests. In this article, you're the page designer responsible for the owner module.
After discussing it with the client, the team lead, and other team members, you determine that the owner module will require the following pages:
owner login page |
owner info page |
aircraft booking page |
booking confirmation page |
You also discuss the content of each page. For example, the owner info page will display the following content:
the owner's name |
the owner's remaining occupied hours |
the owner's aircraft model and photo |
a link to the aircraft booking page so the owner can book the aircraft |
a display of the aircraft's availability during the next two weeks |
a form to determine the aircraft's availability during other date ranges |
