Change layer visibility and stacking order
Show or hide the Layers panel by clicking the Layers icon in the taskbar in the upper right.
Show or hide a layer by clicking its eye icon.
Drag a layer in the Layers panel to change the stacking order and to place it above or below another layer.
Select the Move tool in the toolbar, and drag on a layer to reposition it on the canvas.
Add, duplicate, and transform layers
To add a new layer, click the Add New icon at the top of the Layers panel. A new layer always appears above the layer that was previously selected.
To duplicate a layer, click the Layer Actions icon (three dots) at the top of the Layers panel, or right-click a layer, and choose Duplicate Layer.
To scale or rotate a layer, use the Transform tool in the toolbar.
Adjust layer opacity and apply a blending mode
Click the Toggle Layer Properties icon (three sliders) in the taskbar to show the Properties panel.
Drag the Opacity slider to reduce the opacity and to make the layer partially transparent.
Use one of the blending modes to affect how the layer blends with the layers below it.
Save your work
Photoshop on the web automatically saves your work to the cloud every five minutes and whenever you switch to another app or browser tab.
You can manually save your work by choosing the Save command from the app menu in the upper left.
