Sirius CMS integrates FrameMaker as an editor and a publishing tool for XML or SGML. When using XML or SGML, FrameMaker users can reuse graphics from the Sirius CMS asset database in their documents and use image formats that are normally not usable in FrameMaker (e.g. use PowerPoint slides as images). Sirius CMS can also manage binary FrameMaker files that are not XML or SGML. DITA users can keep using DITA: With Sirius CMS, not only can they use FrameMaker for editing and publishing DITA content, but also Sirius CMS's best-of-breed administration features for their content and their images.

The content management system TIM offers tight integration with Adobe FrameMaker. TIM has an integrated interface (plugin) for Adobe FrameMaker (2019 release) and Adobe FrameMaker XML Author. Adobe FrameMaker serves as an editor for the creation and maintenance of structured content on the module and document level and as well as for complex and automated publication. Via the plugin, the editor is able to use various functions of the content management system, TIM, directly from Adobe FrameMaker. For example, one can change and save modules, access the image database, search and update the automatic generation of technical documentation, data sheets and product catalogues.
