What’s new

  • Add reactions to comments: With this release, you can now add reactions to comments in the Acrobat mobile app. Selecting an emoji from the comment panel or comment list. Tapping the emoji icon opens a palette of emojis, and if a reaction is used more than once, a counter will appear next to it. Each user can post a specific reaction to a comment only once. The feature improves collaboration.

  • Copy comment: You can now copy text from comments in Acrobat. Learn how to Copy comments.

  • AI Assistant support for scanned documents: AI Assistant now supports scanned documents. Ask questions and use responses to draft impactful content. It improves productivity and efficiency, transforming your interaction with documents anytime, anywhere.

  • Enahnced support for contracts in AI Assistant: AI Assistant now helps you generate key highlights from your contracts, allowing you to quickly identify the most important points. This feature enables you to make informed decisions faster and more efficiently.

What’s new

  • View reactions to comments: You can now view reactions on comments in shared files, including those added from web, desktop, or iOS platforms. Signed-in users can upvote or downvote reactions, while signed-out users can still see them.

  • Expanding language support for AI Assistant: In addition to English, AI Assistant now supports French and German for all its functionalities.

  • Streaming responses in Read Aloud support in AI Assistant: In this release, we’ve enhanced the AI Assistant’s Read Aloud feature to support streaming responses. Previously, users could hear responses with adjustable voice and speech rate options. Now, Read Aloud can be enabled for real-time streaming responses, offering a smoother and more interactive experience.

  • Liquid mode support for shared review files: With the September release, we have introduced Liquid Mode support for shared review files. You’ll now see the Liquid Mode icon enabled for eligible shared review files, just as you do for personal files.

This release includes the following new features:

  • No Sign-in required to review shared files in Acrobat Reader: With this release, you can Review files and comments added without signing in. You are required to sign in once you try to add comments or reply to a comment in the shared file.

  • The allow comments toggle is set on by default: With this release, the allow comments toggle is set on by default. You don’t need to turn it on specifically while sharing for review to allow the receivers to comment.

  • Edit scanned files: You can now edit text in a scanned PDF. Note that the file you want to edit should be entirely scanned and not a mix of text and scanned components. The edit scanned PDF is currently for Latin languages only. See how to Edit text on scanned files.
