Harmful Content: Extremist Content

Policy goal

The goal of this policy is to address content that promotes or incites the commission of terrorist or extremist violence on Adobe’s products and services.

What is in violation

We don’t allow the use of Adobe platforms to threaten, promote, or glorify terrorism, or to recruit people to terrorist causes. This includes, but is not limited to, content that:  

  • Provides instructions on making explosives and weapons for the purpose of committing terrorism offenses

  • Attempts to recruit members to join  

Terrorist and violent extremist content is not allowed on any of Adobe’s products or services. This includes both imminent threats and/or content that threatens, promotes, glorifies, or recruits followers. If we become aware of such content, the associated account may get restricted.

Content that promotes or supports the use of violence in support of extreme or fanatical political, ideological, religious, or social goals

Terrorism

The unlawful use of violence and intimidation, especially against civilians, to further ideological goals, such as those of a political, religious, social, racial, or environmental nature

Addresses sensitive subjects and themes in an age-appropriate manner  

Informative: History, science, culture, societal issues 

Fine art

Sculptures, paintings, photographs featured in museums, educational materials, textbooks, historical materials, and so on 

Newsworthy 

Depictions of images relevant to a newsworthy or sporting event; commentary related to a political or national event (image purpose should be relevant to the event and should be consistent with the category restrictions)
