Creating a template
FreeHand's templates allow you to quickly create illustrations with common design elements. You can create a FreeHand document containing custom settings and attributes and save the template as your starting point for subsequent illustrations. A template retains the following attributes:

To save a FreeHand document as a template:

Choose File > Save As. |

Enter a name for your template file in the Save (Macintosh) or Save Document (Windows) dialog box. |

Choose FreeHand Template from the Format (Macintosh) or Save as Type (Windows) pop-up menu. |

Choose a destination for the template file and click Save. In Windows, an FT9 extension is added to the file name. |
