Use profiles as a starting point or as a finishing touch

Begin your Lightroom image editing with a profile, or use a profile to add a creative look at the end of the process.

What you learned

Using profiles in your editing workflow

Profiles in Lightroom control how colors and tonality are rendered in your photos. Applying a profile creates an initial interpretation for the look of an image and can be a useful first step at the beginning of your editing workflow. Profiles can also be used as a finishing touch to apply a specific creative look after all the image processing is finished.
