Usage Data FAQ: Creative Cloud and Document Cloud Apps

How do I change my usage data setting for desktop apps?

You can change your “Desktop app usage” setting in your Account Management “Data and privacy” page. This setting applies to how you use features within all Adobe desktop apps.

Note: This setting is not available for users with a business profile or account (such as a team profile or a company or school account). For these users, Adobe does not receive desktop app usage data. For more information, see the “What do these settings not apply to?” section below.

How do I change my usage data setting for mobile apps?

You can change your preferences within a mobile app’s settings. For example, the setting for the Express mobile app is displayed below. The setting in each app applies to that specific app but does not apply to other Adobe apps.

How do I change my usage data setting for web apps?

You can change your settings within a web app by clicking on the Cookies preferences link within the web app, which can be found on the page footer or Legal Notices section within each web app. You may have to repeat this process for each Adobe web-based app/service that collects usage data. What information does Adobe receive if you share usage data?

If you share usage data with Adobe, we will receive the following types of information about how you use and interact with Adobe apps:

• Browser and device information, such as device model and operating system, software and hardware information, browser and device settings, unique identifiers (such as IP address, cookie ID, or deviceID), amount of memory installed, language settings, and screen resolution;
• Information about your content and documents, but not the content itself, such as number of pages, and unique document identifiers;
• Content usage information such as how many times you access content and how you interact with your content within the app
• How you interact with Adobe’s apps, including the features you use and the options you select, your user journey to Adobe’s apps; and
• Adobe product information, such as version number;
• Crash logs

What do these settings not apply to?

Please note that these settings do not apply to:

• diagnostic information collected for legal and safety purposes, which will be collected and only used as described in the Adobe Privacy Policy
• beta, prerelease, or early access products or features (as described in our General Terms of Use), which always send usage data to Adobe
• desktop app users with a business profile or account (such as a team’s profile or a company or school account) whose license is provisioned and managed by an organization. For these users, Adobe does not receive desktop app usage data. To be clear, Adobe does collect operational and license information as explained in the General Terms of Use and, in some cases, Adobe may share that operational and license data with the organization pursuant to contract.
