How to generate images in Photoshop.
- Select Generate Image in the Contextual Task Bar that appears on a blank canvas. You can also navigate to Generate Image from the Edit menu or the Tools panel.
The Generate Image feature window opens to display a text prompt box, an inspiration gallery you can use as is or edit further, and other creative controls to help you generate an image from scratch. - Choose the Content type (Art or Photo) and select Style Effects to apply to your image. Refine your generation process and explore various styles to achieve your desired look.
- You can upload your own image by clicking Reference Image directly within the Generate Image feature or Browse from a gallery. This helps you control and refine the generated results, ensuring they align with your preferred style.
- Enter a descriptive prompt and select Generate. A new image is created on a generative layer, and three variations appear in the Properties panel, which you can also view on canvas from the Contextual Task Bar.
- Refine further by uploading a Reference Image or changing the Content type in the Contextual Task Bar or the Properties panel to adjust the style and effects after generating.
