Project Scenic

[Kelsey Slay] Let's go ahead to Sneak number six. Our next Sneak is for people wanting more control when it comes to generating images. Let's give it up for Yu Shen with Project Scenic.

[Yu Shen] Thanks for the introduction and hello everyone. Nice to see you all here. I'm planning my birthday camping trip, so I created this invitation. Although this Firefly image looks great, there's only so much control I have. Yes, sure, I can move the image around like this, but if I want to change the angle for a more dramatic view or change the color of the tent or the number of the tent, would take so much work for a novice like me. Which is why I want to introduce you to Project Scenic. Project Scenic empowers me to exploit the fine grain, the easy control of 3D workflows for image generation, and so much more. To start, I can simply type in, a cozy campsite.

It will analyze the prompts, give me some related 3D objects, and then assemble them into a 3D scene within a few seconds. Let's wait for the result.

Yes, great. This is the campsite. It just generated this thing with one prompt.

And I can edit it further. I can move the position or change the camera perspective and change a little bit until you are satisfied. But that's only half of it because I can also type in, cozy campsite for image generation. It will consider both the image prompt and the 3D objects, positions, orientations, and, of course, the camera perspective and it will generate exactly the same view as we are seeing here. Yes, here it is.

Project Scenic even gave me a fast generation output for a quick workflow like this. But however, since it's not just me camping, I want to add some more tents for my five other friends that would be there, which might take a lot of work if I need to do it manually in 3D. Or I can just type it in, add five tents in a circle around the campfire. Let's make it a little bit challenging. So it needs to figure out how to meet my specific requirements dramatically. Let's wait for a little bit. Here it is.

Look at the result. It's just creating and repositioning 3D within one simple phase. But this is not enough. My dream campsite should be surrounded by plants. Let's say, add a forest. So this case is different from adding five tents because the forest is a much larger scale scene, like two magnitudes larger in our case. So it needs to figure out object types and amounts, as well as the properties for each of the objects. Let's look at the forest.

I'm already a little bit afraid of getting lost in the bigger forest.

It will take a lot to do it in 3D and Project Scenic just makes it so easy.

Now we have the 3D scene ready, and I need to work on the camera perspective, which is a little bit hard for me, but I can also ask for help.

Let's say top view of the tents. So it need to figure out what's the target object and then propose a proper camera view to have the best view. This is the top view of the tents, which looks great, but let me try another one. For comparison, let's say, look at the campfire. Sometimes I just want to try different views to select the best one. Here it is.

This is what I like. And I can also tune it a little bit. For example, I can change the camera view a little bit or delete the objects that I don't like. And in addition I want this tent, I selected, to stand out. I can simply pick a color for it like this. Or I can type in a colorful shining tent and generate the image.

So this is our original prompt solution, which enables us to have a specific prompt for this specific object. While keeping the global prompt for the entire image, which allows us to make this specific object stand out from the crowd. And together with the previous features, Project Scenic empowers us to have more control on the overall layout on this specific region and the camera perspective. Here we have the final result.

I think I'm ready for the invitation, so I just need to download the image here and import to my Express project.

Let's wait. Let me upload again. Done. This is my dream campsite.

Would you like to join me? And we can also have other variations like the top view, near the lake, or even on top of the mountain with the clouds under your feet. You have full creative control by leveraging the power of 3D and Firefly with our Project Scenic. Thank you.

[Kelsey Slay] Amazing. Honestly, I hate camping. I hate sweating, but that invite made me want to go. [Awkwafina] Yes, and when it's not in the generated environment, it looks like Fyre Festival. [Kelsey Slay] Yes. [Awkwafina] That is a thought.
