ABOUT THE SESSION
Once students understand the basics of a strong personal (and digital) brand, they can create a foundation and build a consistent, powerful brand presence that incorporates their experiences and moves them toward their career and life goals. In this session, discover how a personal mission statement is the cornerstone of a student’s networking plan and elements (such as the digital resume, portfolio, and video elevator pitch) that convey their brand value. Join Marie Hardin, dean of communications at Penn State University, as she shares how to build student skill and confidence to launch powerful digital storytellers.
You’ll learn how to:
- Help students focus on their short- and long-term goals
- Help them think about their unique “brand identity”
- Create a few basic “building blocks” to which they can add as they progress on their college/career paths
