Start with a blank canvas
When you’re building a composite of multiple images you may want to start with a blank canvas. If you tap New blank canvas, you can choose from many preset sizes for social media or print. If you do, your image will be the right size for your intended use from the beginning.
Add images
Tap the Add button to add a new image layer, and choose a background image from your camera roll, Adobe Stock, or other sources. Transform the image to fit your new canvas. Add more images, each of which comes into your composite on its own image layer, so you can edit it independently.
Remove an image background
To remove a background from an added image layer, select the main objects or people on that layer with a selection tool like Tap Select. Then apply the selection as a mask. The mask hides everything except what you selected, so you can see down through the background area of the masked layer to the layers below.
Move, transform, and reorder objects
Position, scale, and rotate layers using Transform controls. Change the order of objects in your image by rearranging their layers in either the compact or detailed layers view.
Blend layers
Control the way a layer blends with the layers below it by varying its blend mode and/or opacity.
Adjust a specific layer
Add an adjustment layer to adjust the color or tone of a layer. By default, an adjustment layer is clipped to the layer immediately below it, so the adjustment affects only that layer. Unclipping the adjustment layer causes the adjustment to affect all the layers below.
