Automatically reframe your video projects for multiple platforms.
You probably have a primary outlet for your content, like YouTube, a television network, or an internal media network. You’re also likely to share some or all of your content on multiple social platforms.
You might share snippets of your content to announce a new product release, or perhaps you’ll share everything you create on several platforms to increase exposure.
Changing aspect ratio and reframing your shots
To deliver a project as widescreen, square, and vertical video, you’ll reframe the shots so that important visual elements are positioned correctly onscreen.
For example, if you have a speaker presenting to an audience, you’ll want them to stay in the frame and not disappear when you crop the edges to create a square version of the project.
Reframing in Premiere Pro
In Premiere Pro, you’ll combine several parts of your source video in a sequence. Sequences have format settings that you can change at any time, and these include an aspect ratio. When you change the aspect ratio for a sequence, the edges of your content may be cropped out of the new frame that you have set.
This might mean an important detail, like a product or particular subject, is partially chopped off by the edge of the frame.
Auto Reframe analyzes your content and automatically repositions important visual elements so they stay in the frame.
Once automatic reframing is complete, you can adjust the settings to get exactly the positioning you want. You can even change the position over time to draw attention to particular details in the shot.
