Grocery Gratitude
Eric S., Grocery Store Manager
Denver, Colorado
The couple times we’ve left the house to hit our neighborhood grocery store have been surreal. Over and over, I found myself wanting to thank each stocker, deli-counter meat slicer, security guard, and cashier. Eric and I were just crossing paths, graphically. And that’s no different than when you go to the grocery store. Every transaction is a bit random, and you interact with different folks from visit to visit. But each one of these people is essential to the food ecosystem. We’re thankful for their courage to go into work every day in such a scary time. So from the stockers and cashiers to the deli-counter folks, security guards, and grocery store managers, we tip our hats in respect and gratitude.
