New Adobe Express PDF features.
When we launched Adobe Express a couple of months ago, I shared my excitement over our mission to put content creation within reach for everyone. And as Scott Belsky wrote in his blog post, a big part of this commitment means listening to your feedback and continuously updating the app with new features, templates, and capabilities. We’re here to empower everyone to quickly and easily make standout content from thousands of beautiful templates. You can expect continued improvements that’ll help you express your ideas in fresh, new ways, and this is all just the beginning.
Creativity is at our core, but we also want to help you work more efficiently with your documents. This is where our PDF quick actions come in. I’m proud to say that Adobe Express PDF quick actions are powered by Adobe Acrobat which is the world standard in PDFs, so you know you’re getting industry-class tools built right into the app. Your new PDF will keep the format and design of your original document including tables, bullet points, and more.
The Adobe Express launch included two PDF quick actions: the ability to convert documents to and from PDFs. Today, we are adding more PDF quick actions. You can now combine files into one PDF and organize pages. This will make it easier to update or repurpose files without ever leaving the app.
I also know that it’s important to our creators to have the ability to edit the entirety of a PDF directly in the Adobe Express editor. This makes a lot of sense. After all, a central part of our app’s promise is to make working with content quicker and easier. We’ve heard our creators’ feedback and are working hard on these direct PDF editing features, so stay tuned for more updates soon. In the meantime as we develop these capabilities, we’re introducing a new edit text & images PDF quick action so you can add or change text or resize images of existing PDFs.

Here’s a summary of the new PDF features available for you to use from right within the Adobe Express home tab:
Edit text & images
This feature is for when you have PDFs that need small but crucial updates. For example, are the prices on your sales sheets no longer right or do you need to change the date on an event flyer? Edit your existing PDF files by adding or changing text and rotating or resizing images in Adobe Express.
Combine files into one PDF
Create a single PDF by bringing together files that are in various formats or started out in different programs. You might have a proposal that includes a PNG photo, an Excel spreadsheet table, and a few Word documents. Upload these diverse files using the new quick action that combines them into one PDF document. You’ll never have to worry about converting individual files and then stitching them together after the fact. Do it using a quick action from your Adobe Express home tab.
Organize pages
Upload one or more files, rearrange the pages by dragging and dropping page thumbnails into the order you need, and download the document as a single PDF. Say you’ve received a bunch of files from a vendor that’re all in different formats. Use the organize pages quick action to upload the various documents, reorder the pages into a new, specific order, and save them all together as one PDF. You can also delete, insert, and rotate PDF pages. If you just need a selection and not all the pages, select and extract specific pages to create a brand-new PDF.
All Adobe Express users get one free PDF quick action download per week. Subscribers of the Adobe Express Premium plan, or plans that include premium access to Adobe Express, have access to unlimited PDF quick action downloads from within the Adobe Express web app. You can also use the PDFs you create in Express with other Adobe tools like Adobe Acrobat.
Tell us the Content Creation tools you want.
As I mentioned at the start, we developed these new features after receiving feedback from our community and plan on adding even more PDF goodness in the future. While we continue to work on even more robust PDF editing capabilities within the Adobe Express editor, we want to continue to get your feedback on what you’d like to see next. If you have a specific feature request or feedback, please submit your suggestions on the Adobe Express UserVoice page. We look forward to learning from you.
