Install Extension Manager CS4 2.0

Extension Manager CS4 2.0 includes support for the new Bridge CS4, Contribute CS4, Dreamweaver CS4, Fireworks CS4, Flash CS4, Illustrator CS4, InCopy CS4, InDesign CS4, and Photoshop CS4 releases.

Extension Manager CS4 2.0 is also available in Brazilian Portuguese, Chinese Simplified, Chinese Traditional, Czech, Danish, Dutch, French, Finnish, German, Hungarian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Norwegian, Polish, Romanian, Russian, Spanish, Swedish, Turkish, and Ukranian

System Requirements

The Extension Manager requires Mac OS X 10.4.11-10.5.4 or Windows XP with Service Pack 2; Windows Vista Home Premium, Business, Enterprise with Service Pack 1, or Ultimate (certified for 32-bit editions) with 1GB of RAM, 1,024x768 display with 16-bit video card, and at least one of the following products:

• Dreamweaver CS4
• Fireworks CS4
• Flash Professional CS4
• Illustrator CS4
• InCopy CS4
• InDesign CS4
• Photoshop CS4

Install Extension Manager CS4 2.1 Patch

Extension Manager CS4 2.1 supports CSXS Extensions and Multilingual extensions. When Extension Manager CS4 2.0 is already installed, installing Extension Manager CS4 2.1 patch updates Extension Manager CS4 to Extension Manager CS4 2.1.

Prior Versions

Dreamweaver CS3, Fireworks CS3 and Flash CS3 use Extension Manager 1.8.

Dreamweaver 8, Fireworks 8 and Flash 8 use Extension Manager 1.7.

Dreamweaver MX and Flash MX use Extension Manager 1.6.

Dreamweaver 4, Dreamweaver UltraDev 4, and Flash 5 use Extension Manager 1.5.

How to use the Extension Manager

1. Download the Extension Manager

   • Download Extension Manager CS4 2.0 installer and save it on your machine.

   • Double-click the installer to begin the installation process.

     • Extension Manager CS4 2.0 for Windows (ZIP, 51 MB)
     • Extension Manager CS4 2.0 for Macintosh (DMG, 50 MB)

2. Download the Extension Manager CS4 2.1 Patch

• Download Extension Manager CS4 2.1 installer and save it on your machine.
• Double-click the installer to begin the installation process
• Extension Manager CS4 2.1 patch for Windows (ZIP, 29 MB)
• Extension Manager CS4 2.1 patch for Macintosh (DMG, 44 MB)
• Installing Extension Manager CS4 2.1 Patch will upgrade installations of Extension Manager CS4 2.0 to Extension Manager CS4 2.1.
• To use the Creative Suite extension on MAC 10.6, you must install the CS4 Service Infrastructure 1.0.2 patch in addition to the Extension Manager 2.1 patch. For more details, and to download the CS4 Service Infrastructure 1.0.2 patch, please see CS4 Service Infrastructure 1.0.2 Update.

3. Return to Adobe.com to Download Extensions

   • Once you have the Adobe Extension Manager installed, return to the Adobe Exchange and download extensions from the Bridge Exchange, Dreamweaver Exchange, Fireworks Exchange, Flash Exchange, Illustrator Exchange, InDesign Exchange or Photoshop Exchange.
   • Each extension has its own page that includes the download links, a short description, user ratings and reviews, and a link to the respective online discussion forum where you can post questions and get support for that extension.
   • Once the Extension Manager is installed, you can access it directly from the supported product menus by choosing Help > Manage Extensions or by launching the Extension Manager directly..
