MOVE & SCALE OBJECT
Extend Background
Extend your photo background to change the
orientation or to make room for text and graphics.
1. Select your photo.
Open your photo in Guided mode. Select Special Edits and click Extend Background.
2. Choose canvas size.
Select a preset option or choose Custom to create your own size.
3. Choose the side(s) to extend.
Select which edges of the photo you would like to extend.
4. Fill expanded area.
- Select the Autofill option and let the magic of AI fill in the background.
- Fine tune with a few clicks (not strokes) of the Healing Brush or Clone Stamp tool to erase any repeating patterns.
5. Add text or graphics.
Click Next and continue editing in Quick or Expert mode to add text or graphics.
Move & Scale Object
Simple steps make it easy to move, scale, or even duplicate an object.
1. Select your photo.
Open your photo in Guided mode. Select Basics and click Move & Scale Object.
2. Choose a selection tool.
- With the Auto Selection tool, drag a box around the object. This option is best for objects with distinct edges.
- The Quick Selection tool allows you to make precise selections.
- Use Add/Subtract to refine your selection.
3. Move, scale or duplicate.
- Click the Move or Duplicate button and drag the selected object to the desired location.
- Drag the corners to scale the object.
4. Refine as needed.
Built-in AI fills in the background behind your object when you move it. Clean up any imperfections with a few clicks of the Healing Brush or Clone Stamp tool.
