Albums provide a way to organize your photos based on subject matter, events, or other criteria that is important to you. In the Albums panel on the left, click the (+) icon and click Create Album, enter a name for the album and click Create.
Click All Photos to view your entire library of images. Tap the checkmark in the top right corner of each photo you want to add. Use Control-click (Windows) or Command-click (macOS) to select multiple images. In the task bar near the bottom of the screen, click Add To. You can choose to add the photos to an existing album, or create the (+) symbol to create a new album, and click Add. The same photos can be added to multiple albums.
Folders allow you to organize your albums even further. Each folder can hold multiple albums, and you can create multiple levels of folders. To add a folder, click the (+) icon in the Albums panel, and then click Create Folder. Name the folder and click Create. To add albums to a folder, click the album thumbnail to select it, then drag the album to the folder until the folder is highlighted with blue. Drag any other albums you would like to place in the folder. Click the arrow next to the folder name to see how the albums are now grouped in a folder.
Need to apply a quick improvement to an image or want to explore a different creative look? Select a photo and click the Presets icon in the upper right. Choose Premium to explore the advantages of Adaptive presets to make the subject pop, apply a blur to the background of the scene, or enhance just the sky area. The Recommended presets analyze your photo and provide a range of different styles to choose from. Once you select a category and choose a preset you can fine-tune it with the Amount slider. As you move the cursor over a preset, click More like this in the lower left of the thumbnail to generate a new batch of similar presets.
Select a photo and click the Edit icon in the upper right to access the full range of the powerful editing controls in Lightroom on the web. In the vertical panel on the right, you can adjust the Light and Color qualities of your photo, and apply effects such as Texture, Clarity, Dehaze, Grain, and Lens Blur. Use the Crop tab to crop, rotate, or straighten your photo. Other tabs enable you to retouch and remove small distractions, and apply local adjustments to specific areas of the scene. Any edits you make are synced across the Lightroom ecosystem to all your devices.
To organize your photos further, use flags to quickly indicate whether you like a photo or not. Assign star ratings to indicate varying degrees of quality. Click on a photo, then use the flag and rating bar under the photo to apply a flag or a rating. If you don’t see this, click the star icon in the lower right corner to reveal it. You can also use the following keyboard shortcuts: Pick flag = Z; Reject flag = X; Unflag = U. Tap 1 through 5 on the keyboard to assign star ratings. Tap 0 to remove star ratings.
Choose an album and click the Share icon in the upper right to create a link you can share through email or social media or embed in a web page. Click Customi ze or Settings to choose additional options to allow downloads or show metadata, location, or flagged photos.
